Party Spotlight: Waddling to Two
It all starts with an idea… and sometimes that ✨IDEA✨ is inspired by your guest of honor and HIS favorites. Our goal with birthdays is to try to cram as many favorites into one day as possible. Favorite foods, favorite snacks, favorite things - all of it; and this was the year of all the rubber duckies, a love of bathtime, and a bubble obsession. So naturally - we made them all appear for this special SECOND birthday.
Thinking creatively for the fun touches were a blast for this one (we love a challenge). The rubber ducky shaped baby bath held ice and drinks perfectly, a bubble birthday garland added a fun whimsical touch (was originally for a mermaid party!), and never underestimate the uses of bulletin board backing! This backing was purchased from a teacher supply store, and transported the party to a subway-tiled oasis for the bathtime-loving two year old. This party also had ball pits with bubble-colored balls, LIVE duck visitors for guests to pet and watch during the party, rubber duck coloring sheets, and web-footed treat bags with coordinating colored candies. Anchored by the neutral and classic black and white stripe pattern throughout also kept everything clean and coordinated.
And can we talk puns for a minute? 🤭 Ohhh, how great they are for birthday parties! 'Cheese and QUACKERS' and 'shaking tail feathers' were a fun ways to tie in this more obscure theme. Expanding the puns from the invitation to the food signs were a fun touch that achieved the goal.
What is your favorite part of this unique party? Are you feeling inspired to make your next party a one-of-a-kind? Need some help? Let's talk!
